Is an actual unit measurement of time, which is generally 1/100ths of a second.
But in different enginnering principles a Jiffy has different lenghs in time.
In electronics, a Jiffy is the time between alternating current power cycles (1/60 or 1/50 of a second).
In computing, a Jiffy is the duration of one tick of the system clock on your computer (this has different time lengths, depending on the processor speed of the computer).
In physics, a Jiffy is the time light takes to travel 1 centimeter which is 33.3564 x 10 to the power −12 of a second or 0.0000000000333564 of a second.
but just remember the oldest one tho peeps, when some one says "how longs a piece of string?" you can smugly turn round to them and say "twice the distance from the middle to the end" ............... normally the look on their face as they are working it out, then realizing you're right is a good'un
