Back to what Johnie was actually talking about

I agree with you, someone puts their car up for sale and lots of people reply with the "that will sell easily" or "wont be around long" or "well worth that money mate" or the best one "if I had the money I'd be straight round there......." (what a croc!) when in reality, you've probably no idea of what the car is like!!
Unless it happens to be a friend selling their car and you've had a good look round it, you've not really got much authority to say anything!!

And while we're on about it
How comes it always okay for people to put what's seen as positive things about a sale BUT as soon as you say something that's conceived as negative (though could be true) you get slagged of, put down or even worse get your reply removed?? (not saying you've done this on here Dave )

Surely a forum should be open? If it's not, then you shouldn't be able to put anything unless it has something serious to do with the sale!!!!!!

Sorry, rant over now, nothing to see here, carry on with your business
    Cheers

a forum should be open for discussion on 'most' topics, however on the sale of vehicles it becomes a very clouded area due to the fact that somone will always see a different value for a car compared to the owner who obviously would like top dollar, therefore arguments will always occur, its called human nature.

what i would like to see though is the mods monitoring the posts for negatory coments on a forsale thread, if anybody has a problem with a car and they really canot help themselves and need to tell someone then perhaps they could use a pm to disscuss it with the person who has shown an interest in a vehicle?

Or how about a For Sale thread is locked and only the seller or a Moderator can put comments up.
          Cheers

            That's a good idea
Because why should it be only negative comments that are not allowed
