the orange pure 7 and p7 both seems to get good reviews and riding it back to back with a 2012 kona fire mountain you could feel the difference in the frame slightly but i was going from a £550 bike to a £1000 one

i do like the look of orange bikes

most inportant question about buying a MB that you have to ask yourself is "am i going to use it every week" if the answer to the question is "no im only really going to use it in the summer months for a little ride out or maybe once a month" then i would stick to a bob basic 500quid bike.

I use mine every week (during summer months 3 times a week) started out with a bob basic, then after a year justified to myself (read that as wife!) that a decent bike was was the way to go. tried a few but ended up with a specialized camber expert.

to recap buy a bob basic then if you use it, get yourself a good one and they wont let you down.

on one, specialised, trek, orange all good bikes when spending upwards of a 1.5k, got a few mates i ride out with who have broken the frames on boardman bikes so although spec looks good for your cash dont go downhill mental on 1.

Just ordered my new bike, Genesis core 26.5 2012 model with 20.5 frame size also had a ride on a Genesis Latitude/10 which again was a nice bike but has a steel frame where the Core 26.5 is alloy.

Seat needs to move forward about 15mm, brake levers need to move around the bar to a more natural reach for your fingers and the front skewer holding the wheel on if fitted on the wrong way around, nice bit of old Skool non the less son.

Ps, get a chain stay protector, chains eat aluminium cannondales
