Anyone pass their driving test in a MK 2?

I took driving lessons in a MK2 1300 when 17 but never passed the test that was later in a Landrover at Saint Athans with the regiment boys. After passing I bought my first Mk2 a Mexico- bit heavy on the insurance as it was a group 5. Has anyone here passed the test in a Mk2 and then later bought one?

Didnt pass test in a mk2 it was a mk1 fiesta BUT HAD A MK2 MEXICO WITH L plates on it lol lots o fun. The good old days.

Passed my test in a Daytona mk1 and then bought a Saluki Bronze mk1, complete with peeling roof!!!

lessons and test in a light blue MK2 escort, Terrys school of motoring in southampton, by the old bus station, had 5 lessons,
had plenty of practice cos we were driving at bristol street motors

then jumped into ma 4 door mk2 escort with bodykit a bought for £600.

Learnt to drive in a MKI, which was written off (not guilty) & replaced by a red MKII pop with 12" rims & shiny centre caps which I passed my test in at the 2nd attempt in Townhill Park, Southampton 1988.

The instructors name was a Mr. Humby

After i passed i went out & bought a White MkII Linnet

Didn't pass my test in one but was driving a 1300 pop weeks after passing in aug 1990. Rolled it within 2 weeks

Passed mine in a brand new mk3 1.6 ghia escort. Back then it was like the dogs motor

I passed mine in a white mk2 1100 it had a transplant about 6 months later for a 2L and I rapped it, that was replaced with a Black RS2000

four lessons and then my test in a 1978 1300 L roman bronze EIB 907 many years latter a friend of mine bought the car from the driving instructor Sammy Cook and rolled the car and was in hospital for months with bad back and neck injuries
