Anyone pass their driving test in a MK 2?

Passed mine in metallic brown MK 1 1300 xl 5 lessons never driven a car before ( not much better now ) then bought MG1300 followed quicky by MK2 Cortina 1600E

i passed mine in a metro with a dodgy clutch.i think the fact that i drove okish but with a dodgy clutch impressed the examiner.

I passed my test in a Mk1 tawny brown 1.3 XL. At time I had a 998 Imp in fully works spec but figured examiners would take a dim view of that so took driving school car. Was first time I'd driven it as I only had car off driving school for the test.

1983/4. Did a few lessons in a Metro, then a couple in a MK2 Fiesta, then a couple more and my test in an old 1973 HC Viva 1300 that the driving school still had lying around with twin controls. Drum brakes all round so emergency stop was no problem as the wheels wouldn't lock up ever, also rev round a corner easy with a car wi a boot. Then jumped into my met blue escort MK1 1300 GT rep ASP 514 M.

Oct 94 took lessons in a pug 306 diesel with driving instructor, at night out learning in my mk 2 Rs rep with my big sisters pal beside me Jan 95 passed test in the 306 and 20 mins later picked up my 89 xr2. 6 months later picked up my 1st set of points for speeding

Taught thousands of drivers in Red Mark 1 Escort,Purple mk1 escort,then numerous mark2s,untill changing to Mark3s in Y reg .As a DSA instructor.
As a DSA driving examiner i took lots of drivers in mark1 s and mark2 ,but always 1100,and1300s .Never took anyone in a Mex or RS2 for test

the wife passed in a mk2 she had her lessons in a mk1 but some rote it off a week before her test i passed my test in a metro my first car was a mk1 1300xl couldn't afford a RS on YTS money
