  • i love the AA..............not!

picked up the mk1 today from waritch, coming home on the m40 my rad hose split in the van, waited for over two hours for the aa to arrive,it turned out to be a contractor, anyway they loaded the van on the back of the lorry and hitched up the trailer then drove me about 5 miles down the road to the services and said this was as far as i could go as they were only to get me off the motorway and had to wait for the aa to come out again!, this was now 3pm and they said they would have somone out by 6pm, so long story short, i fixed the van myself and buggered off, they have just phoned me now(7.30pm to say they cant find me!!), that would have been a 7 1/2 hour wait!!!!
    W*****s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wheres the number for the rac vin?

I had a similar experiance with them last year!
I was at an airshow at fairford and on the way down my car (passat tdi) went on 3 cylinders, when i got there the aa was in attendance so i called them over to it ,when they plugged the computer in it came up with no faults then told me they don't actually have a 2001 passat on the system then proceeded to tell me its missing because the oil was slightly low!!!!
Then all they could suggest was to start to drive it home and if it broke down at the side of the motorway call them out again and see if that patroller knew what it was
Why do we pay our money to them????

In work, we always cringe when someone who has broken down require AA recovery..... The service is generally terrible (our locality is not the best as they are usually across the border on the motorways). They use excuses due to the road layout saying they cannot attend there

Also they when they find out that there is a 3rd party to blame for a collision they refuse to turn up, saying claim off their insurance and sort it out yourself The others, mainly RAC and Green Flag are far superior

In true Bishop style, I would say ......'Leave well alone, they are Toss !'
