haha yeah ok maybe i took it a bit far, but look at sample images from the nokia n8, its seriously impressive, i'm not talking about the 12mp's either as MPs mean **** all these days, but the lens is very impressive considering its tucked into a tiny handset

also IMO its good enough to eliminate the need of a compact, if i want to take "serious" photos i will use a DSLR but each to their own! and you can get good results with either

Bill the HTC desire hd is the one better than any i phone its the dogs matey dont listen to these folk with i phones as they are s hite HTC have been doing internet phones for many a year and are so much better

yes andy the desire HD is currently the most powerful handset out there (way more ram than the pityful iPhone 4 ) but it is far from perfect. No dedicated camera button is kind of irritating (although there arent many phones out there with that feature anyway, for now!) .... no forward facing camera for video calls, and depite the MASSIVE screen, they reduced the battery size from the original Desire .... i know the new chipset uses less power, but i'd have kept the same battery and increased battery life, as it really is poor on the desire. You can of course with any phone running android kill certain features you arent using at the time (switch from 3g to 2g for example) and dim the screens brightness to save power, so you can get good results, but IMO you shouldnt have too.

still a great phone though!


however! in febuary the Samsung Galaxy s2 is going to be announced which is going to kick the bollocks off avery other handset currently out there, duel core processor, 1gb ram, 4.3" S AMOLE 2 screen, full 1080p HD recording............ gonna be a serious bit of kit, this is why i returned my Desire HD and decided to wait to upgrade, i will have either the galaxy s2 and the DHD, but wont know till i am holding them both

At the end of the day it comes down to what you like.
I like the iPhone and think it's a great bit of kit, others hate it.

Best take the advise of all the handsets that have been mentioned and go into your friendly phone shop and compare them and see what YOU like and then make your choice.
