You are dead right. All the cars I like are fuel munchers. This is where I blame our crappy Governments over the past 1000 years or so. They stamp down on anything that is enjoyable in life

Skoda Octavia vRS is a very nice car and have always admired them. There is a diesel version as well Unfortunately they do depreciate quite badly though.

                    2nd CAR

Recently got a Fiesta Mk6 Zetec S as an every day drive after loosing job with company car.
Was looking at ST's but the S has just as good spec with only a 1600 engine which is better on fuel and group 7 insurance rather than 13.
They are not as small as you think with split rear seats.
Look at around 5 - 6K for a real nice face lift 07 plate.
                    FUN, FUN, FUN car.
                    Regards,
                    Mark.

Yes, Very nice car. But, too small I'm afraid. I could only just fit everything in my old GTi which was on a larger platform.
Thing is, I love the Impreza so much. There is a LPG converter near where I live so I may go for a chat with them and see what's what.

Know all about chipping diesel cars. My golf was done back in 2003 and was the best thing ever.
Don't like Passats though. I don't like to blend in, Never have. Probably why I hate silver cars so much..........................Boring!
A nice LPG converted M3 or M5 please

LOL, I really liked the old 309. Great little cars. Have a real thing about 4x4's though as virtually everyone in our snobby village has one with a little Toyota thing as their runabout. I like to annoy.
