Well dont do it again till 2011 !

On the pinto i just remove the fan belt and run the engine for a min or 2 then switch off and allow the heatsoak to defrost the block
Done it on many an occasion.
TBH i allways thought water expaneded when it froze? which is why if you fill a bottle all the way up and freeze it it splits ?
when you heat wateer it expands but not when cooling it back to a liquid ??

ventured out into the garage today lifted the bonnet , theres alot of condensation on the engine but havent lost any water out the rad . put start charger on turning but just not fast enough , so ive put the battery on charge will give it a go in the morning

no joy fully charged battery and start charger on just not turning fast enough my starter has always been shite never seemed to turn the engine very well
