He raced for about 40 years, sure he was in his late 60's when he last raced!
Only went to coventry a few times, don't remember much, it was back in the brown/beige 70's lol!

God I was soooooooooooooooooo in love with Paul Harrison - nearly peed my pants when I got to stand on the podium with him after he won a race at Northampton!!!!
The guy who used to run my local pub, Alan Barker used to race them in the seventies. He had some great tales to tell. I used to go to Odsall and Bellvue in the eighties to watch another guy from our village, Nigel Fairclough, but he was crap. The sounds and smells were amazing though! Great programme!
I saw Frankie Wainman Junior on the way down to Ford Fair on Saturday afternoon - we gave him a toot in Elmo and me in the hire van - although I couldn't bloody see him in the cab - he gave a thumbs up to Elmo though!
Just watched the next installment and what a great programme , really enjoyed it . I think they said they are 700bhp !!!! (No chance , probably 350bhp on a proper dyno and 700bhp on a Pub dyno , lol) .
