what is worth the most money 100% standard car or one with mods ie spot lights twin carbs strut brace different wheels leather bubble arches seats ect


my opinion is standard is always more sought after and always demand a higher price i know its the same with classic bikes but some modded escorts seem to also command big money

100% original as it left the factory. Very hard to find !

I'd say it depends on the car & how heavily modified it is.

The reason I say that is Escorts came with the option to be modified, quite a lot of mods at that, straight from the dealers.

So a Mk1 Mex would be nice with it's vinyl seat & slotted steels.
But just as appealing would be a Mk1 Mex with mag minilights, cibies, tech del sumpguard, billies, contours, springalex etc..

But if you are talking Mk1 Mex with non standard engine (insert choice here) modern seats, etc.... I'd take one of the first two options please.

Tastefully modded cars are worth more than standard ones as the parts are worth more money . Plus they can always be put back to standard afterwards and have their decent engines removed and the original standard slow one refitted .

depends on what you want! personally i think standard cars are terrible they handle crap and are shit slow so wouldnt have one! but if you just want to look at it in the garage then they great! all depends on the person! there are to sides to it people love sandard and hate modified and vice a versa, but whatever you do do it for yourself and dont worry about other people oppinions

Depends. A totally original RS to me is worth more than the best of the "triggers broom" RSs. I prefer a nicely modded RS (or a mental 1300L ) to almost any standard Escort.
