depends on what you want! personally i think modified cars are terrible they are too bumpy and are too fast so wouldnt have one! but if you just want to rag it round a track then they great! all depends on the person! there are to sides to it people love modified and hate standard and vice a versa, but whatever you do do it for yourself and dont worry about other people oppinions

Std low miles original paneled or period modified cars are the sought after cars i would say, for defo!! ie ford rallye sport options and parts and not the halfords/ripspeed variants!!
Take for example Gerards x pack compared to a car thats full of modern alloy and anodised bling, it's a no brainer!!!
Thats for road/show cars etc not competition cars which is a differant ball game in my mind! Dare I mention the (grp4) word

depends on what you want! personally i think concours cars with microwave doors in the roof are terrible they leak and are shit so wouldnt have one! but if you just want to look at it in the garage then they great! all depends on the person! there are to sides to it people love yellow and hate plant pot coloured, but whatever you do do it for yourself and dont worry about other people oppinions

Personally I think a standard Mexico is shockingly bad to drive, Non-existent brakes and no oomph along with a wallowy ride. Stick with the original type of engine but give it more power, same with the suspension, Standard uprated
an LSD is a bonus as well. Period Ronals (Genuine only). As Ford intended interior is a must as well. Superlites etc in my opinion just cheapen the car and make it look like something out of Classic Ford etc who have a lot to answer for LOL

the wallowy ride is probably due to the old stuff....just being old, fitted all new stuff to mine, and i can assure you the suspension is stiff and steering very positive, just like the car would of been back in the 70s, ride height may be high but again look at the original press pics, they were that height. saying all that the 175 tyres dont do standard cars justice.Originally posted by Frosticles View PostHave to agree with black shirt on this.
