  • Hagerty Premium gone up!

After being pleased with my service with Hagerty I have just received my renewal for my RS2000 cover.

Last year (first year) I paid £150.57 and this year I have been quoted £182.07 which is nearly £32 increase in one year.

I'm not very impressed with this......any one else had the same?

Most insurance companies increase their charges year by year for some reason, even without a claim. After a phone call, they seem to be able to bring it down

Seems like Hagerty are trying it on......give them a ring Tim.....and remind them how much we have promoted their company in the last 12 months

Well today I spoke to a Robin at Hagerty and he said that they had an increase which could not be avoided this year so he was not going to offer me anything better until I went on about Rallye Sport Escorts Forum. After I explained all the good reports we had put up about Hagerty on RSE forum leading to many drivers going with them, also that we are all in for a good deal and this is all discussed on the forum. He eventually made the decision that RSE can be classed as a club and offered me a club discount which brought the premium down to £165.27 which I happily accepted.

I was glad to stay with Hagerty as they do seem a very good company plus UK Breakdown is included in the cost. Just glad to get it sorted.

So RSE members, if you are or going with Hagerty then make sure you ask for your club discount.

              Tim.

spoke to Charlie at hagarty yesterday and got some more money off my premium for the three cars, two are not on the road as yet so i lowered the annual milage and knocked another £30 off, he also told me that a zetec in my rally rep can not be insured with them, i had heard this but he confirmed it yesterday, its still going in and i'll have to move companies for that one,

I don't know how you would be fixed for modified but give Lancaster a try as their quotes for my car were £112.31 to £324.93. on line but should always be confirmed by phone. I decided to stay with Hagerty as basically I like them and thought the reduced figure was within reason, but I will be keeping an eye on their premium for next years renewal.

                    Tim.

I had one company dump my son on his insurance because he was too young (21). I soon found another that would take him on though.

Try these others you have and good luck with finding one.
