Richard, excuse me for tidying up your spelling mistakes just wanted to make it easier to read

Are you saying that Gerard is going to stop bringing his cars to RSOC and Ford Shows and that we may no longer see his fantastic collection of cars in the future

If this is correct then it is a travesty for all people who appreciate Ford cars and motor cars in general as I for one enjoy viewing all his cars (and other that are put on display by other members) and dreaming of my 6 numbers coming up on the Lottery so I can try to buy some of them off him

I hope that he will re-consider his decision as his cars are much appreciated even if he may not win Best in Class on some occasions.
    Cheers

I moaned cause gizmo hasnt done his job within the rsoc mate and imagine the up roar if no concours at national day. Track has been part of national day for years yet no one seems to give a feck and think the club is doing a good thing - i must be on drugs thinking the club doesn't care about all its members just those who like to clean cars instead of use them LOL

Its very disappointing that the club is turning back the clock 20 years and having a field event.

Experiencing the awesome lakes tour but have to say i was bored at the cumbria show by 12 and shortly left.

School wasn't my best bit martin, that's it in a nut shell mate sunday at the heaves hotel was the last RSOC show that gerards cars will have been at. And to be truthfull you can't blame the man either the money and time he has spent restoring cars to the standard he he has done its credit to him, but the way he has been treated in the past years at Rsoc shows has been terrible.

                    Richard

Have you ever judged for the RSOC ?

It is quite easy to judge a rally car against a road car ,

BUT, On another note Gerard could enter his car in the same class as me " race prepared " class

                    This would make things easier

I showed in Modified and had to drive mine up to the lakes and also around on the tour. I did want to trailer up to the lakes but was told I had to drive it as Modified Class is for Non-Trailered cars only.

In my opinion (not that my opinion will be listened too )

RSOC Concours should be available for all to enjoy and the classes should be encouraging as many to participate but it constantly seems to achieve detering members from showing and the only result will be a dwindling entry list

Maybe things will finally change for the better when the Concours field is empty !

RS stands for Rallye Sport (Fords Motorsport Division) and how the RSOC expects "modified" RS's to be driven to an RSOC show with 5.1 diffs and solid suspension etc etc etc is beyond belief - do Concours organisers not realise what a race car is like to drive when not competing in a rally / track / sprint event etc ?

Also a lot of race parts are "lifed" and is it realy neccasary to wear them out on road miles when such parts are more cost effective when being used in a competitive environment

I know classes have changed but !

Working Class - Must be driven

Intermediate - Owner decides if driven or trailered BUT 15/100 points deducted if trailered

Modified - Owner decides if driven or trailered

Standard - Owner decides if driven or trailered

I sort of agree , But then how does somone who hasnt got a trailor compete with them that have , wont that actually make concourse numbers dwindle ?

Some excellent points raised there. My argument for trailering up there was that my car is not built for motorway driving but as a A/B road car. The Motorway just kills it. The Engine is NOT happy labouring down the Motorway with it missing, spitting at anything under half throttle which I was told won't be good for it by the man who built it. The Gearbox will make me deaf on the Motorway (as Robbo will confirm) and as for MPG then, forget it

                              Novice - Driven
                              Intermediate - Driven
