I will not come on here and get into a slagging match with all you lads about an issue that started in the registrars area and should have stayed there
I have spoke to Dave on the phone at length tonight and told him why i will not come on here as i dont think it should be put on public forums
There has been a differance of opinoin that got out of hand

my take on this, and this is not to fall out with you dave as we are friends and you help me out but if you where booked on track you where abviously attending the rs event anyway so why claim fuel when you where already going? dont throw your teddy out and retract your resignation son.

btw:- thanx for all who have took the time to read and reply to this thread
I can assure you all no teddy has gone from my pram
This issue has been going on since the 08/03/10 within the registrars area of the RSOC website.
My decision was not taken lightly nor do I feel in any way that at this time my decision is reversible.
The 2 sides to the argument are one of being correct in relation to the RSOC rules and guidelines (my stance)
And 2 the moral issue of claiming for shows I was already going to
Well seeing as I was asked at the bar during lunch at the 2009 AGM to put in an expenses claim (for the year 2009) as the accounts needed to be calculated I simply claimed for the 3 shows I was entitled to nothing more nothing less.
So in March 2010 to then be called a p**s taker and have no support from the Registrars Representitive after I made such a claim what choice did I have but to resign ?
Until morals are written in the RSOC rules book I feel I did nothing wrong
Lets hope ALL RSOC officials expenses claims get scrutinised as I feel mine were at that meeting on the 8th - but somehow I doubt they will ever see the light of day

Nobody was made to feel alianated for putting in a claim and all info given about claims was put on the post by the person who claimed NOT given by anyone else , so to say you were made to feel bad for claiming was WRONG , if you didnt want people to know what you claimed why then offer the info then get upset when people gave there opinion that what you claimed for was MORALLY wrong

This paper listed which registrars had claimed and how much (name and shame)
So by stating what I had claimed I was simply confirming what those in attendance at the registrars meeting already knew.

Dave
I wish this situation could be resolved and issues discussed and rules made clear but you have decided to resigne and thats a shame
I will say that Dave did NOT actually break and rules it was a moral issue that got out of hand and things said that maybee shouldnt ( on all sides )
I wish you would still do the reg job Dave but also respect your choice not to carry on

Dave
1, the list wasnt passed around By Dunc , Its was taken from him and passed around by fellow registrars
2, The post on the RSOC board did NOT mention any names or monies
You choses to go on that post and freely post what and where you had claimed
NO NAME AND SHAME TOOK PLACE AT ALL
Plus dave , how can there be NAME AND SHAME if you are not ashamed of what you have done

the only thing i see here is that other people think and i included think you shouldnt of put a fuel bill in when you where attending these shows anyway. but thats all i can see and your ability to be a registrar is not being questioned in anyway.your very knowledgeable and popular within the mk2 scene and will be a shame!!!!!!!!!!!
just try harder in future lol xxx

Paul we can both tap keys till our fingers drop off but as we both know we will not agree on this - I feel I am right just as you feel you are right
Enough has been said on the RSOC BB and it was clear I am morally wrong - I agree it is morally wrong but I could claim so I did
I cant wait to see Duncans face when my claim for cleaning my duck pond comes through
