Lakes Tour....Not for me.

Well after much hard work and 13 grand later me and my mex will not be attending the lakes tour as I have not been before....I dont supose It will happen next year either as if there is again only 20 spaces left then chances are slim! I understand that people who have been before etc have the priority but surely it just becomes the same old thing??? Between my dad and myself we have 9 mint RS2000's and Mexico's of both Mk1 and Mk2 that we would loved to have shared with new friends and also admiring other great cars that people have built for the new year!

Well dont want to sound like a complete whinging t**t but Im a bit p****d off really.

You will make it I'm sure if you contact Oggie and get your name on the reserve list. There is always someone who drops out for one reason or another. Positive thinking......you will be there

I was thinking the same. My parents have a place in Keswick which I often use to get away from the south for the weekend. It would be nice if I could at least bring the car up, meet a few people on the route, then go for a walk in the hills perhaps.

At least I can make the decision not to come if the forcast is looking like rain or the weekend.

Having never been on the lakes tour, I'm not sure if I'd be welcomed to tag onto the back of the convoy or not? Maybe someone on here can clarify if it is OK to do this?

ITS NOT JUST ABOUT THE TOUR, THERE IS A CRACKING STATIC SHOW ON SUNDAY. GET YOURSELF UP ITS A GREAT WEEKEND. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHOS DOING THE TOUR MAYBE YOU COULD GET A PASSENGER RIDE.

I just thought the exact same thing Don't understand why you need an entry to do it. Maybe for a tshirt or something but thats about it.
