Priority is to be given to supporters of the tour that have taken part in a number of the previous 4 events.

Been on the tour as a passenger but not a driver
Wasnt fast enough last year as "not in the Know"
Now got to wait for the pickings at the end.

wot bout us irish lads that has done it as the last couple of years do we have to wait and see if we are getn to do it b4 we book the the boat then by that time the price has went up it cost us alot of money to travel over and the earlier we book the cheaper it is, and we have the hotel booked since the start of the year, do we ring them up and tell them to wait to see wot is happening

not sure on exact numbers but in 2006 one approx. 60 people did the Tour, in 2007 approx. 100 people did the Tour and in 2008 approx. 150 did the Tour.

So if everyone who did the first 2 years applies for this year that is only going to be about 100 people which leaves 100 places (unless the organisation has reduced numbers ) for people who have done 2, 1 or even no Tours before.

Surely priority has to be given to those that have supported the Tour for the longest time

p.s. I missed 2007 and didn't have an RS on the road in 2006 so I am waiting for the next allocation of places also

Does it count if you have been building the car to do the lakes for the last 3 or 4 years....... come on Iain there is still time to sell your body..better still get the wife to work.....

bodys knacked mate neede splints just to keep the pecker up (well matchsticks really ) had a reality check the other day Andy been on reduced hours at work as well which doesnt help there always 2012,i would have been happy enough to have been just there on the sat/sunday

Lets not all panic unduly and turn the thread into a moan.

The lads are simply trying to organise things a bit smoother and ease the load on Steve.

As it is a bit of an anniversary year for the Tour priority in the first instance is going to those lads who took the plunge and supported it from the start.

There will be a second round of places allocated, then probably a third.

Also lets not forget everyone who has done the first 4 might not be available or still have cars in which to do the tour.

Also each year people book places and then cancel, sell their cars or dont turn up.

iam not moaning paul i just like to get everything planned in time and if anyone knows its you cause you and steve have been over with us to the north and its takes a wee bit of planning out.

Yep thats about right. Think it started out damp and cold. Also there were quite a few who booked to go and then did not.

This thing must be a nightmare to sort out so. Please give them a chance to sort it. A lot of hard work goes in to it.
