Can be policed in two ways. Best way is for the local group show organiser to only allow RSOC members onto the club stand (But, as we know this will not always happen........ Even at National day, there are groups who "Try" to get non members onto their stands
The other way is to make use of your VALID membership card and produce it on the gate when entering the show. Simples
Andy, Are you saying that it will be unfair that non RSOC members cannot now show on a local group stand at an RSOC event??? If so, Please explain as to why?? I'm sure you would agree with the new ruling if you were a member.............

Am a member of the RSOC but when get the car on road this year wouldnt mind attending some AVO shows as like the mk1's as well, but dont want to leave my mk2 in a general car park realise this is a bit off topic just wondering if any AVO people could answer how things are with their events.
Think the rule is valid as the RSOC are organising the event so cars on display should be members cars, but think other clubs cars should be allowed to be displayed maybe in seperate area of showground, the more mk1's and mk2's the better for me
Dont think anyone that has a mk1 or mk2 would feel safe leaving it in a general car park, most if not all are now peoples pride and joy and people want to show them off, I for one want to see them.
The concourse area is much reduced compared to the old days when there used to be seperate prizes for each eg mk1 RS2000, mk1 Mexico, mk2 RS 2000 etc so we need something to encourage owners of these cars to show them. The registrars area seamed to work ok?
Peter.

Hi Pete
I am the show orginiser for the avo club.
I dont want to see any mk1/2 escort parked in the general car park at Stanford hall in June, this forum has had a visiting club stand for the last few years and have won best visitin stand for the last 3 years and is where any stray escort is directed to on the day and we also have a general classic car car park on the day aswell so everyone is cover for space to show off there classic
