I have been told of dealers changing the pump and tank as well - maybe if its a fleet job and they know the hire companys will pay the bill

Thanks to RoddeRS poping out when i did mine.
Didn't turn the engine over so was very lucky, drained the tank and fuel line's of everything.. filled back up with diesel. didn't cause any problems apart from the pair of peckers on here giving me grief.......
I'd rather push a Ford than drive a V**X***L

Going back many years when winter diesel didn't really exist it used to be recommended that diesel cars and vans should be filled up with an 80/20 mix of diesel/petrol to reduce waxing and stop the diesel 'freezing' in winter. On that basis a little bit of petrol in diesel car isn't going to cause much inm the way of problems - it is the full tank and drive away that will.....Richard
