  • Land rover Discovery..whats the score

Basically Im am thinking of getting a land rover discovery , somewhere between the registrations of L reg (1993) and V reg (2000)

What sort of problems will i be buying ,getting one of this age?

Are they any good? , petrol or diesel?

What do i need to be looking out for?

    cheers

Rust Rust and Rust. Did i mention rust?

head gasket and poor repair of such, off road abuse, steering boxes give trouble and are expensive to replace/rebuild.

Gearbox can be a weak point,I would stick with a Jap 4X4 I have an L200 which I am well pleased with, have had Nissan Terrano's Patrol's and Shoguns all without any problems, cheaper to maintain than Landrovers as well
