either that or look for another circuit in haste for a smaller day i bet donno have given in at a lower price ferkin robbing barstwerds all the lads being out of pocket i would be surprised if no one showed

van booked , rooms booked , help booked , now it clashes with other commitments ,
sounds like a lot of people are out of pocket and cant rearrange dates ,
( on the 13th donnington could be like a ghost town )
so many people know its on the 27th , what about all the people from abroad etc , how are they going to be notified ??????

There are only two alternatives:

1, Is cancel National Day. Donnington don't deserve the revenue.

2, Find a venue close to Donnington to hold the show on the arranged date.
At least that way those who have booked accomodation, flights etc.. could still go ahead wih their arrangements.


So what venues are within a 30 or 40 minute drive of Donnington that could hold National Day.???

Got to be joking !!!!!!!!. My first nat day in years, tickets paid , hotel booked , time off work booked (which i had to grovel for and swap with another colleague).

It's a disgrace that Donington have done this, but it is in no way the fault of the RSOC

The worry I have is that if the club tries to organise the date for the 13th with all the extra cost involved to advertise this date and National Day is not well attended then it could send the RSOC to the wall

I personally think that they should either

• Cancel it totally for 2009 and get some compensation from Donington to cover advertising costs etc.
• Find a Country House that is available that weekend locally which can accomodate us and hold it there. This is not good for the track lads, but at least all those who have paid for hotels/ferries/flights and time off work will not lose out

As already said in previous posts ther will be traders who have committed elsewhere and plenty of RS owners who have other commitments in place for the new date

Well thats us out for this year . Just spoke to the missus and she is working the weekend of the 13th and no way can get off. So we have decided to cancel and leave it for next year. She has cancelled the hotel , The people were really understanding and we were lucky that we weren`t charged a cancellation fee.
Very disappointing nonetheless but its donnington thats at fault not the RSOC. My missus is gonna phone and see if we can get the ticket money refunded or even a credit voucher for the club shop.

Roll on next year !!!!

Has this clashes with the snowdonia tour i will miss out too ,and i feel for all that have gone balls out to make arrangements to get there on the 27th to find its cancelled .
