Blimey , never seen that happen before .

Wish I had never seen it either - lol

Engine still run and only indication of a fault was a slight misfire and and a lowdown rumble at about 2500 and on track it ran harsh and just didnt feel right

ALL other engine parts are re-useable with no damage on anything

No 4 big end held the crank together and I am just glad the engine didnt eat itself

Anyone got a cozzy crank they dont need ?

Block and all other components are all ok

A very lucky escape mate as the whole thing might have grenaded itself to bits and caused a major pile up .

All good and engine still ran ok but wouldnt rev above 6000 rpm

Had that before on a 4x4,it was like the car was missing..Thought it was a wiring fault..had it with a local mechanic he spent a few nights at it and could not solve it.Sent it to dublin and he knew within minutes i think it cost me 1500 euros at the time.Hope it cost you less

sorry to see this dave, you were going great guns on power and reliability with this bumbag racing engine, i'm guessing its a flaw in the crank rather than you hooning the thing around like you stole it
