  • Question for the Welsh

Have watched 'Traffic Cops' on BBC1 this week with footage from Wales. What does "Heddlu Police" mean???
And where is the lovely PC Laura Griffith stationed as I like to be hand-cuffed by her?

the welsh language policy states that public notices have to be Bi lingual, i.e in English, and in Welsh, hence the names in two languages

can cause some amusement, especially when the spelling is the same on some roadsigns

as for the WPC, she is port talbot based (near Swansea, service base of Wales Rally GB)....................i think!

That's what I thought but I was thinking of the idiot who said he got ran over by a car (but just laid down on the road ...) and the taxi driver saying he got ran off the road (he was actually eating chips whilst driving) ...
