Thats now two very nice RS 2000s come up for sale in the last week.
Do you think the price has started to drop ?
Lets be honest the credit crunch had to take effect sooner rather than later !
i feel theres enough people out there with money and always will be now for the top cars , concourse that is the rest of the cars may slide and restos well who will want them a breakers delight
But does every owner not think that they have a "best one " ???
I have seen two mint examples which have been priced to sell !
At the end of the day if you want to sell, you really need to sell within reason.
At the end of the day you all have a bottem line and if it comes near money talks !
my own thoughts are good cars will always sell for the right money, dave is spot on about ebay,go back a few months you could get 1500 quid 4 a wheel barrow if it had an escort badge on it!!!.not the case now.for the people who have owned their cars for many years the value has increased which is nice but not many would sell cause its not about the money its about the cars.thats my take on it ime sure ime not alone
i stand to loose well over £K on mine, but as said before its not about the money, if your well into something like the escorts it becomes abit of an obsession and you can easily get carried away, take mine for example, it could be put back to standard very easy if required but the few ott jobs i have done on it probably cost me the £10 k I'm gonna loose.
this time of year is a good time to sell as its show time, and the cars are fresh in peoples minds, i think you would be better waiting till late Nov to start to look for one but as said before good ones will always make the money................all day long!
as said it's not what they are worth its all about the car
a good car will always go for good money but in the current times there are less people around with the cash to buy so prices do drop abit and at the end of the day a car is only worth what someone will pay for it
I looked at loads of cars at cumbria show and to be honest there was probs 40% that were real nice cars , the rest were badly restored shite with panel gaps you could either fall through or no gaps at all ( who the hell is working on these cars )
This is what spoils it for the people with the good cars as people are asking 10k plus for cars that just arnt worth half that
Good cars will always demand good money , its just hard to find the GOOD cars

Maybe in the corner we should have a seperate car park for the ordinary cars driven by ordinary people.
Then the garage owners and city bankers can play with their china dolls without fear of contamination.
