    A bare engine block would easily fit in your boot, they don't weigh that much, ask some of the traders if they have any scrap blocks going for a drink or two.

              I have seen a mondeo v6 block stripped out sitting on its mains caps, rods upside down and welded into the bores in block to support the glass top. The whole thing was powder coated in a chrome finish. Looked good
