I'm flabbergasted! (especially after getting on the scales after Xmas!).

All my noses have been fixed with meaty hex-head self tappers screwed into those metal plate type nuts* slipped over the slotted holes in the front plate.

Can someone post a pic of the correct screws to use and their size?

        * don't know what their real name is in english - I think they're called "U" Type Spring Nuts.

You would use black crosshead screws.
dont go changing dasadrew cos mine is the same as yours! metal clips.

                  Cheers ders!

As your pic shows EXACTLY the set up on all my RS2000's I decided to check the microfiche. According to said oracle, the plastic clips are ONLY for the plastic grille on the flat fronts. The RS2000 nosecone has spring nuts just as on your photo and my cars!

                  Panic over!

There should be spacers between the cone and the slam panel.
Just a medium size washer but the center ones have a extra washer
because of the shape of the cone compared with the slam panel.
Tried to find a picture but cant and mines in bits..

                      Bingo!

Mine have thin washers on the two outer fittings and thick washers on the inboard fittings. Otherwise the contour of the bonnet front edge doesn't match the nosecone.

The pictures on the fiche can be hard to make out some times.
                        This is a bit clearer...
