we created an old school class in 2006/7 but hardly anyone used it, when I left last year the new guy scrapped it and made it

    cars with over 50k miles

or cars with under 50k miles

it would be great if you guys wanted to do it and i am sure if there is enough interest another old school novice class could be created,

its only out of 100 points and very simple, even custom could manage it

Correct Dave, in 2006 there were only 3 pre 81 cars that were willing to give it a go and enter in novice class all year , One of them being Hally

It would be great if bringing it back would entice more old skool members to bring their cars out and put them on display.

Current restrictions for entering novice are........
    • Car must be driven, not trailered.
    • Car must not be a previous gold cup winner
Judging sheet in 2006 consisted of
    • interior 20 points
    • boot 10 points
    • bodywork 20 points
    • glasswork 10 points
    • engine bay 20 points
    • wheels/tyres 20 points
Anyone up for showing their RS off this coming year

If there is enough interest I'm sure the rules could be changed back, to include a pre 81 class.

Alan, wheels and tyres, can they be changed 'on the day' as i have seen this done in the past

perhaps a guidline in what the judges are looking for would help the guys and gals

Also does originality get extra points? ie. Would I be better painting the engine bay or leaving it as it is with all the original factory stickers in place and the factory primer showing through
                          Cheers
