Novice pre 81 concours

Wheels & tyres can't be changed in either novice or intermediate.
Originality will not gain extra points. Its all down to condition & cleanliness.
(i.e no rust on seat runners )
Would a repainted engine bay look in better condition than one with primer showing through?
I suppose it depends how much is showing through. It would be nice to say leave it as is. But if someone else turns up with a freshly repainted bay who's would you say was in better condition.
i.e........
vs
which one would you say is in better condition ??
I've got a feeling the same decision would probably be used weather it be novice concours or Show'n'shine.
The only way to get round this would be to have a standard novice pre 81 class as well. But people have already said there are too many classes
Sorry, but the fact remains......

This way you will have a log book when you turn up and possibly get free entry to the show.
For some of the larger shows it may even work out cheaper to apply for a concours log-book than pay to get in
F.Y.I
A log-book contains your details & that of your car including the class you have chosen. It also lists the shows that year, and your results from the shows. This needs to be handed in to the organisers when you show so they know what class you need to be judged with, and so they can record your result in it.

im not trying to be awkward in anyway and am intrested in having a go but it does sound that those of us that are currently having cars restored or work done, are meant to spend the winter and are hard earned, to then arrive at the first show to be told weve ****ed up in some way or in the wrong class etc.
a nice idea alan but do you not think its a little vague in aproach????
what about a possible club workshop for those of us that are intrested in this????sigpic
