You say you will not show against One Day Wonders - well after looking at RSCarshows website it appears you have attended 13 regional Day shows in the 2 years
But other than the White and Blue MKI Escort no other cars even turned up to be any kind of competion for the pair of you ?
Did it not bore you having the same car to compete against all the time ?
How can that be called a competition ?
You have won a Gold Cup - Well you need to get your car (as required) into intermediate class (I think thats whats its called for now !) and face some different competition.
It will make it a lot more enjoyable and more importantly worthwhile
Dont be scared of One Day Wonders - Get out there and beat em !
If you give up now you have wasted 2 years of your life, money and also the time of people who even took the car to a show on your behalf.

well firstly i did move up class last year into intermeidiate! and secondly i will not show against one day wonders when i work all year traveling up and down the country supporting many regional shows as i can! why should one day wonders not have own class or have some form of qualifing to show at nat day against everyone who has travelled up and down the country showing?

Regional Day Concours and National Day Concours are 2 seperate Competitions
Just as Regional Day Concours is different from Auto Glym's Concours etc etc
All that changed for the 2008 season was the Concours Massive "twisted" the rules to increase their odds of winning the coverted title of National Day Winner by effectively "banning" One Day Wonders
From the sound of it The RSOC Committee have realised they were "bullied" (bullied has been quoted by 2 or 3 RSOC Committee members) into the rule change and the signs are 2009 National Day will be a competition for ALL members to compete in ie,
Standard - Modified - Working Class/Novice
Then models will be competing against like for like models
Excellent work RSOC Committee stand your ground and put the Concours Massive back in line

I hope so, as Autoglym concours has been discontinued following declining numbers for the past few years.
What "National" concours competition is taking place instead of Auto Glym then ?
Was Mark McCubin the last winner of Auto Glym
