you can have my 2 for a few weeks that should put you off
have friends that have, and they told us that most of the time its very hard work as the kids have loads of mental baggage that come with, as good kids dont generally end up for an adoption

To be serious, the world needs more people like you and the misses wozzy, having your own is hard enough but having ones that are not your own and may have problems must be very hard.
Good luck if you do go through with it, big repect to you fella

A good friend of mine was fostered as his mother was a drunk and couldn't look after him. He has ended up in a great job with a lovely family and puts that down to the care he was given as a teenager by his foster parents. He still calls them mum and dadCheers

A friend of mine has a foster son.
She's had him on and off since he was 5 or so, he's nearly 14 now.
Some of the other carers who have had him seemed not to treat him like their own children, I think this is the key, be even handed and treat them like you would your own.
I've spent some time with him and as he's really interested in cars, I've been asked to 'apprentice' him at my workshop in the summer holidays, and I'd like to think this will help him decide what he wants to do as a possible career.

my mam and dad fostered many kids over 30 years as i was growing up.
some just for a short time, some for over many many years.
still in touch with some of them to this day.
i would say that if you have the space and time to give them, go for it.😯

i was fostered all my life by my foster parents , i found who my real mother was and all i can say is that i owe a huge amount to my foster parents as i would be a totaly different person if it was not for them .
mind you it could not have been easy as i was a right ****er when i was younger as was my brother , but my sisters where a lot better .
i aplaude anyone that does it for the right reasons and not just the money involved as some do these days .
more power to you my friend you go for it and change a childs life .
