I have carried out the mk2 XR2i Fester rear belt swap as well, just be aware that the reel is mounted to the rear quarter panel as per wiggys pic via the same alloy metal gizzmo with a pin and hole that secures the front reels to the botom of the b pillar.
This gizzmo keeps the orientaion of the real correct and so allows it to spool out under light load but lock tight under heavy load, if you dont get this orientation right it wont work.
Bit more info required if poss from the experts out there.......
Got the reel bolted in under the shelf..parcel shelf holes cut OK.."mid point" bolted to C-pillar...
Now what is the correct routing of the "loose end", the 3rd point of the triangle if you like? Obviously it bolts to the floor under the seat squab.
Should it route over the top of the seat back rest, and down through the gap between back rest and seat squab (as it appears to do in Banishit's photos).
