    will i regret this?

i realy do love my car,but its one thing after another,i have spent over £23k on it and its still letting me down,i cant afford to just keep on chucking this kind of money at it,especily as the wife drive a £2k pice of junk!!!

In the end it is down to personal and financial choices, but don't expect to run a Cosworth for no money as mine was always needing little bits and pieces done to it and that was when the car was only 3 years old with a FSH.

Your MK2 looks the business and hopefully will not need any more work done except regular services
    Cheers

      Mk2

IMO stick with the MK2 RS its a nice car and you've done the hard work.

As above a cossie will cost to run / maintain.

Its what you fancy I suppose but again I'd say keep the Escort.

      CheeRS,

      Joe.

I have both..........The cosworth is forever breaking and is very quickly getting to the stage where a match will be lit Great cars when running right but a wallet thief when they are broken which is most of the time. 3 door prices are going up all the time so now is the time to buy before they go really silly which they will.

If I were you I would stick with the Mk2 as they are a lot easier to live with, great fun to drive, have a great community of owners (Here) and have such street cred they are too cool really.....LOL.

Bought a 3dr for a while whilst both mk2s were off the road for various bits and bobs (bad planning!) It had over 300 bhp, dump valve, different actuator, pectel board and more of that sort of malarky.......ok, it was fast But I was bored of it within a month, the only good to come out of it was it made me get my arse in to gear to get a mk2 back on the road!! And what a relief that was when I did!
