where i live in swinton manchester taffr ! used to be a little night club called the dukes ! all the lads who owned rs2000s , mexicos and harriers used to meet there on week nights and weekends ! every car was white ?? some of the lads fitted cherry bomb exhausts on there cars ! and had stripped all the interior out to go faster ! i used to sit and look at the cars wishing i had one ! when mines done i told the wife im gonna drive it straight to the dukes ! wich is now a born again christian gaff ?? and do a ****in big dounut on the front !

i fell in love with an rs xpack when i was about 13, 30 years ago. i saw i at my older brothers house , he worked for the local ford dealer then , and his mate showed up to show him the brand new car he had just bought .. years later i got my own , but , like a lot of people i sold it and ended up regretting it ever since ...

Got my first in 1981 it was a Daytona yellow RS1600 AJI 3636 wish I never sold it , but I had it up to 1996

My mates girlfriend had a white T reg mk2 mexico when I was 15. I'm still looking for this car So 23 years for me. I bought my first mk2 when I was 16 and did it up as a mexico replica. The 1.1 went in the bin and a 1760 crossflow went in.

We used to go and watch rally's in her mexico and just hang out. It was the bollocks and every 15 yr old boys dream (and the car LOL)

I still speak to her occassionally. I took my mex round to show her and it brought back some memories for her.

First car was a 1100 pop plus at 17 just after passing my test.

Bought it from Warrington XDM 525W, 2 door in Nordic Blue 21 years ago

6 months later went to harwoods in ellesmere port and spent a fortune on 2.0 ohc, ally sump + bellhousing etc and dropped it all in leaving 1100 diff in.

0-60 in 5 secs and flat out at 65 but great fun and been hooked ever since

had my 1st mexico when i was 17 in 85,then sold it and got a mk1 rs2000 in 86

spent the next 10 years with other mk1 and mk2 escort RS and standard
then stopped and restarted 2 years later
and here we are now with RRR

i've beeinton them since seeing my first in 1983....

hda mk2 's and mk1's since getting my license and have an rs since 92 including a three door cossie (not common out here).

currently
touring car mk2 rs2 without beak
mk2 resto project......it would make you lot cry to see how little rust is in the shell and the fella was going to scrap it.

also formula ford van diemen and ST 225 focus
