how long have you been into rs's

i fell in love at 13(thirty years ago ) when my cousin had a white mk1 rs2000.i got my first real rs in 1985,and had them ever since

i was sixteen big un ! i had a mk2 escort 1.1 pop !!!! all me parents could afford at the time ! got it for my birthday . i used to buy the Auto Trader every week and dream of owning an RS2000 one day ! finally bought one last year ! and as you know alot of work to do yet before its right ! was hoping to have it finished for me 40th in july but wont be done till september ish

oh sorry imy dad bought me a daytona yellow mk1 xl for £25 when i was 16 but never got to drive it .the shell was a cracker too all i done was polish it in the garage,swapped it for a cb radio

fell in love when i passed the local dealer in 1987, a white mk2mex sat in the front row, i was in my vauxhall viva at the time, i fel in love and had to have it, could not afford the insurance for six months so it sat in my garage, but it was worth it, polished it nearly every day, then some bastard pinched it later that year, got a white harrier on the insurance,

i also met the wife when i had the mex, had 2up 2 down on it by then, on the kingsway in swansea, the local dragstrip, full of escorts in the 80's

when i had my 1st mk1 (miami blue13e) the only person i would let drive it was my old man, he use to love it and was always interested in what i was doing to it etc, think he will be happy looking down seeing another mk1 in the garage
