had the same problem with my first rs2 kept blowing between 2&3
cyl took the head off and there was very minimal distortion couldn't
understand why so i put a heavy duty head gasket on and problem
solved didnt blow again -not sure but i think it was a ford transit
gasket slightly thicker but it did the job -hope u sort it mate be good
to see u on the tour

Maybe, maybe not, if it's a crack it can sometimes take a while before the trouble shows itself.

Is the gasket always blowing in exactly the same place, if so, that's a sure sign of a crack in the head or block.

                      All the best, Neil.

hope no vauxhall owners are reading these threads, they will all think fords are Knackers

think oggie should put the tour back a few weeks

Thats bad luck Lee,get the head stripped off and check it and the block face, make sure there ok,if so fit a heavy duty head gasket,Felpro or standard Cossie yb head gasket, you can get them quite cheap now from the likes of Woodford garage,i wouldnt have used a standard Ford gasket on a uprated engine.
Take it from me,its not the same going on tour in your every day car.

had it all apart again, nothing screams out as to being wrong so im gonna try a set of ARP studs and a FEL-PRO head gasket this time, and see what happens
