Again, was good to see you as always Paul on Sunday. Very saddened by your decision as I really thought we could now put the past MK2 issues behind us in the RSOC and look to the future with enthusiasm and hope. All this has now been lost unfortunately.
You have my respect and greatest of wishes for the future Paul.

On a different note as Jason pointed out, I am getting a hammering from certain corners which is NOT deserved and is now, really ****ing me off.
I am one of those people who gets on with everone in the world, am passionate about my RS's I hate arguing and will only fall out with someone if all else fails. I love having a laugh and hate politics. BUT, I hate posts like this which I found on the South Lincs site openly attacking myself and Kev Cannon without having a clue of the actual circumstances. All this crap does is fuel the already out of control fire. I think these people won't be content untill the club has been destroyed then will say it had nothing to do with them!!!!!!

Oh dear, Completely wrong and as far from the truth as you could possibly get.

I spoke to Kev about the position at Donington spares day after it all went booberlies up regarding cars for the RSOC stand which I helped out with on my own.......

The role of indoor show co-ordinator was the responsibility of Lee Pearson who was going through a bit of a troubled time and duly resigned from the position along with also being in charge of local groups. Dave Easton returned as the Local Group co-ordinator. There was a committee conference call on the following Thursday as to discuss the situation with Lee and the possibility of the return of Dave easton and also myself as the indoor show co-ordinator. Both motions were carried in favour by the committee so here we are. I am basically in the role up untill the AGM which will be held in November wher I will be up for election along with everyone else. The reason I was put into the role straight away is down to there being a few shows that need organising immediately and I was the only person who was willing to take this on. The position was originally not to be a committee position but I insisted that it was as I want to help the club in the best way I can. If I am shot down for this then it is your problem and not mine I'm afraid.
There seems to be a few people in the club that are hell bent on seeing it destroyed by constantly "Bending" the truths without hearing the full story thus blowing everything out of proportion to the detriment of the club

Kevin I have no issue with anyone doing any role within the so called "club" but tbh my beef is the way the role was filled. whether it was you or anyone else makes no difference if a role requires filling in between AGM's this was always conducted with advertising the role in RN and then people showing an interest in the position attending a committee meeting and then a decision being made.

This has not happened in this particular case and as for the role being given to Lee this is incorrect as I was part of the decision making process to close down these roles and their responsibilities went to the local group coordinator for outdoor shows while classifieds initially went into the club office then onto the editor of RN. There are minutes to verify this that are available this was why when the question was asked at the AGM about these roles the explanation was given.

TBH how does this look to other members who may of wanted to have a go at performing this role? Just because you had a chat with the chairman makes it ok to cut every other member out this sets a very dangerous precedent with sanction given to appoint whoever into any role without going through the proper process. As such will the other positions be filled by members who have a chat with the chairman?

Kev I have as said before no issue with you performing a role just the way you ended up in that role as the proper set process that has been followed for all positions within the club have not been followed, When Paul took on the RS500 Registrar role he went through the process as did the mk1 registrar who took over from Rob Jones this all I am saying I am not going to fall out with anyone over this but the committee is its own worst enemy and I know I was there remember and got p!ssed over by by a number of people on giving members discount schemes I did more in the reman role than any other person before and after me and even though I have issues especially things being said about me elssewhere I still sort out discount schemes for the club like the one about to be launched for Yokohama no one bothered with sorting this after i stood down and that alone proves to me that the members of the RSOC are seconary to the committee I got this deal up and running and ready to go in a week the committee have had since November to do this and did nothing until i sorted it and I have written the article for Rallye News and supplied the pictures of the products and supplied it all the Emma Wicks.

The members of the RSOC deserve this and I have delivered it even though any money you like other will endeavour to make me look bad and be some sort of sh!t stirer well as far as I am concerned the RSOC is dying as the top table has now got to the stage on not listening to its members and their demands, it seems to be the case that the members are not allowed a voice unless it suits the key players on the committee if it is not what you want to hear threads are deleted edited and the members concerned get told nothing.

This is such a shame it is about time the top table listened to its members for once I know also that I am to be banned from the RSOC who suggested that?

I bet you any money you like there will be another resignation this week from the top table as no one supports the others when the logbook bloke got a hammering i went and supported him as did Dave easten where was the rest of the committee when one of your own was getting a pasting plus there are several differing viewpoints from the top table about the whole cumbria issue thats not good.

I also believe that someone will be offered Pauls role very soon and what odds you offering that will not go out to advert either and it will be offered to someone very vocal to try and shut them up or to try and put off someone trying to restart the Mk2 RS Club.


Paul mate you have done the right thing I know you and I have had some cracking ding dongs but you are better off out of it and away from this titanic of a club it has hit the iceberg it has a fragmented committee no forward thinking and is in nowadays standards a dinosaur and we all know what happened to them is that a comet I see in the sky they need to wake up and smell the coffee look after the members and they will look after you well this aint happening.

Finally I will say Kev I have no issue with you whatsoever but the process stinks good luck in the role and I wish you well as membership is plummeting and I feel it is very close to being to late to stop what was a great club dying.
