its a crying shame there so much apathy , time we done something lads , we got to do it for our selfs , we have a big enough base as this forum shows .

get into remunafacture which has alreay started in a small way .
get our cars at as many shows as possible and show these poxy clubs the way it should be .

I agree with that and as you can see a few intrepid souls have started to make stuff more widely available, through their own effort.

The thing is however, to make these parts more affordable and available it would (IMO) make more sense to combine efforts.

I know there's often been talk of this BB turning into a "proper club", I assume the reason it has not yet been done is that once there are heirarchical structures in place disputes start.

This board thrives on (again IMO) on firstly: being FOC and secondly: relying on honest, friendly and enthusiastic contribution.

However, a new body with membership fees that could build up a pot to have parts remanufactured and even co-operate with other clubs (dare I mention them) SEOC etc etc to improve the whole scene and with the resale of member financed parts keep the club ticking over and finance new projects.

thats a shame stu, not many 1800 owners in the club as it is, soon there will be no need for a registrar....that will solve a few problems
