Yes it has been 5 years since I started this BB
Banishit has asked why/how etc did we all come to gather on here
Well some of you will notice that under your username it will say 5 Year+ Member
Well obviously if you been registered for 5 years then this will now automatically appear
I started this BB as I felt other BB's were more whizz bang turbo orientated.
It had a narrow attraction ie. MKII RS Escorts but has since widened to predominately cover MKI and MKII Escorts of ALL types
My site was offered to a MKII RS Escort club but I pulled away after about maybe 12 months for my own reasons (look its water under the bridge - lets not go there please !)
Since then I feel it has encompassed Rally boys, a great market place, AVO orientated cars and of course BBAT and GCAT cars
Even Latham and his 4 door is more than welcome on here and Estate coffin carriers are welcome
I am and always will be the only moderator (except Banishit to help with pictures in the picture area - Oggie to run The Lakes Tour area and Grum to sort out The Lakes Tour competition area) this way only I can/will delete/edit threads and the need for "Who deleted/edited my thread" etc post will NOT be required as IT WILL BE ME !
My ethos is based on the fact my 12 year old daughter uses my computer and often looks over my shoulder when I am "being boring talking to my sad mates about cars" (her and my wifes words NOT mine) and if I am happy at her looking at screen then it can stay if not I delete/edit it - quite simple really
I hope all newcomers and longtermers enjoy their visits to this BB
My aim is to get cars out of garages and onto the road/track/showground
I detest owners that think their "car isnt good enough etc etc" well I say bolox to that ALL cars are good enough !!
So to finish off lets kick it up a gear in 2008 and fill the show fields with MKI and MKII Escorts we all know the show visitors dribble profusiouly at our MKI and MKII's so lets give them what they want to see
