ive sat here and read the RSOC post. Sat here for a few more minutes trying to decide should i write something or stay well clear. UMM. Here goes.. Please bear in mind theres two sides to every coin. It is fair to say that ive had a very knowledgable person, from this board, very politely pull my car to bits. No names. The quality of the paintwork on my car, i believe, based on what ive seen this year, is second to none 9/10. Honestly. Ive been very happy dealing with Tony and Martin, and i believe, they have always been on the level with me, the sinical amongst us would suggest, it was because my hand was always in my wallet. Thats business. My car is as straight as a dye 9/10 . The attention to detail is very good 8/10. As for suggesting the guy was likely to "kill Tony", i think Tony would have something to say about that .You can only really judge on your own personal experience. Not sure what else to say. As i said, someone had pulled my car to bits. Others my be being very polite. Not sure what else to say.

I think anyone can have a good day and a bad day , JT has a good reputation but the bodyshop isn't his , he sends them around the corner. There were areas on my 16i that I would have liked to address but I was 120 miles from the paintshop, I am sure they would have been rectified as John in the paintshop is a sound bloke.

I have my car booked in for paint at the end of November, might be a squeeze to be ready in time , not at JT's , the paintshop is a 5 minute drive away and they know me and what I expect.

I would add that JT's man didn't ask for any money upfront until I had seen what he had done paintwise.

                    paint.

If your spending that sort of money it should be right..simple as that.

Worked in the motor trade too long and know that customers can be a right pain.

Some people are just waiting to fly off the handle, this bloke may be in the right but I'd be very cautious about making judgements before knowing all the facts.

correct. It is only fair to say, i do know a little more than whats being put across, there will always be two sides. I used to sell cars for a living and one little story i will always remember. I worked for Vauxhall at the time, a young lady came in with her Grandad. We got talking about a Corsa she was keen on, on asking her grandad, what do you think ?? he replied, i once had a Cresta, the battery let me down, never have a Vauxhall again !!!!!!, i nearly ****ed myself, people are strange things at the best of times.

there lies the problem Neil, too much expectation. How do you measure it. Different people expect different things. People talk, expectations rise. It must surely come down to an indiviuals personal experience. My car owes me 40k. Real money. Should it be any better, you tell me.

we dont know both sides of the story, but for that sort of money on a bare shell you would expect ANYTHING would be put right that isnt!

                              £4750 @ £50 p/h = 95 hours
