Very sad news, he was truly a down to earth guy and scotlands motorsport hero.
He was the reason i bought a subaru as so many others did as well

Very sad news.Have fond memories from watching him in a 1.3 Nova right upto now,but the 94 RAC will always bring back the best one,the battle he had with Carlos Sainz was amazing in L555 BAT.LEGEND.

RIP Colin my thoughts go out to all involved.

I'm just glad to have watched Colin during the last 19 years, especially in the late 80's and the early 90's at the Manx Rally and another one stands out when Colin and Austin McHale were battling it out in the Circuit Of Ireland when Colin was in the Rothmans Legacy and Austin was in the Xtravision E30 M3.

Its just a pity the young ones wont see the master in action, this is the last time that I saw him at the Donegal Rally in June last year. This was the only chance that my wee boy got to see him in action.
