I built my own because to have paid someone else to do it the cost would have been more crippling than it was !

(oh and the satisfaction when loads of people came upto car in the pits and looked in engine bay and they couldnt find 16 valves, twin cam Cosworth head, no turbo and red, white or blue injectors etc etc etc - PRICELESS)

for example RS500 Group A oil sump windage tray £150 -BHP = nil ! but adds to reliability so valuable in other ways

I used ARP cylinder head nut and stud kit £130 - BHP = Nil ! but again adds to reliability so on and so on ............

Build your own and plough all your money into the cylinder head thats where the power hides

THEN DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT !!!!!!!!!!

            Best for what?

Just because someone has got the highest peak power out of a Pinto for race circuit use doesn't mean they have a clue about building one that pulls adequately low down in the conditions often encountered in rallying.
