RSOC MK2 Registrar lets get behind one man

Hope i'm not posting out of turn here but it seems to me we have a shortlist of three men for the job , i know two of them quite well and have not had the pleasure of meeting the other as yet but i'm sure he's a hoot , to get this sorted we need to get behind one of these fine gentlemen and give them our full and honest support , so its vote time , who do we want to put forward , if we know now we can start to generate support for the one man and make our votes count at thr RSOC AGM, go for it, if i've upset anyone doing this i do appologise , if there are any more candidates please make yourself known

I have no problem with this, just want the right man in at the end of the day whoever that may be. Might be a darkhorse turn up at the AGM , main thing is enough of us vote when the time comes to get our man in.

i don't mind neil i'm just trying to get the ball rolling , but if someone want's to be considered for the post get thier names thrown into the ring , its not that long till the AGM and we need to get the support for a representative who will act on our behalf the mk2 enthusiast, if we all start voting for different people we could get the gimp back, i've only bin around for a short time and this gimp fella has really spoilt my return to the RS fold, as i said in my first post , i appologise if i have offended anyone with this

Closing date is Fri 5th October."

so you should get a form in your next rallye news.

I think a plan is needed.

1. Dave (custom) needs to do a mail shot to all board members to see who is willing to become new registrar. With a cut off date. say 14th Sept.?

2. I think the scottish old skool escort guys will want to have the same option as above.

3. Once you have a list of possible candidates then put up a poll to vote a person in. Also with a cut off date, say 21st Sept. Giving the nominated person plenty of time to register there interest in the position with the RSOC

4. There is your new registrar, all who want to push the old skool RS scene forward within the RSOC can then vote at the agm for this person.

Communication is the key. Keep everyone informed at every stage & no one can say they didn't have the option to apply for the position or vote a person in.

Personally i've not been a member of the RSOC for a long long time.
They lost there way as far as Mk1's & 2's are concerned at the end of the 90's.
If I was a member RUDDY would get my vote.

all three would be great in the role IMO but I would back whichever one made it clear they would stand as I could not vote in the poll for one of them as they could all do a fantastic job with their knowledge

i dont know anyone who knows more about mk2 rs2000/mexicos than ders .hes been into them from day one and he would be my ideal choice
