cos the postman was knocking at my door at 7.30 this morning with them all

so after work I psyched myself up and went down the garage with the cutting gear



so far so good

a needle file here and there, I intentially used a cutter 2mm under size as they have a tendancy to wander, but I measured with a vernier after the cut and it was witin 0.10mm

all done crap pic as I didnt finish till 11.30 this evening

all in all it's pretty easy fitting them, I translated the German fitting instructions that I'll give out with the locks, the worse part is setting the heights and getting them all adjusted, just takes time

anyway I'm chuffed and a massive thanks to Brian for sorting them out

Shopping list you will need,

2 off std pitch M4 x12 2 off for the lock retaining rings

2 off M6 x 20 bolts to go in the top of the locking plates

2 off large M6 washers for going under the slam panel

2 off M6 nylocks for going under the slam panel



1 off tube of clear silicon sealant,

1 off 24mm hole cutter,

1 off 78mm hole cutter

1 off 6.5mm Diameter drill

1 off touch up stick in body colour for doing inside the cut holes

3 off cans of strongbow (this is my particular favourite brand other more intoxicating products are available)


some copper grease, some threadlock

and a very steady hand
