OK, please tell me if i,m going overboard. Its ok, i can take it. For several weeks now ive been trying to contact certain people in the RSOC. I wont mention names, however, i dont think it,ll take too much brain power to work out who they are. All i,m simply trying to do is to understand CONCOURS. Now, i know its not everyones cup of tea, but it happens to be mine so please bear with me. Nobody seems to know anything about the judging, classes, etc etc. Yes it is fair to say, i,m trying to build up to this day, but as we speak, i,m not even bothered if i dont go at all. As ive said before, why have i paid £80 for three years membership ?? Membership to what ??. No one returns your call, no ones ever available and based on a conversation ive had today with a valued member of this board, the results are done and dusted. i,m not prepared to stick my big nose up someones arse and act like their lap dog, i just would like to be told, on what basis the cars are being judged. As far as i can see (and again, please tell me if ive got it wrong ) the whole thing is a load of SHITE, not worth getting involved with, ive used enough emotion in getting Worthers to this stage, the last thing i need is being put through the situation that a good guy from this board was subjected to last year. So, there you have it. I feel a smidge better now. I,ll just end taking my pride and joy to non RSOC shows and probably have more enjoyment. To finish, i cant help how i feel can i .

the vibe i get is to what class you put your car in, if so its difficult and please please dont take this the wrong way, the workmanship and detail is great and hats off to you for the quality of work, i know from what you have done you have created a car that you like and the way you have wanted it to look again the best imo, but is it modified or is it standard, is this the question

Not sure Ian if you have "members" access on the RSOC BB ?
You should have seeing as you a member !
Some of my usual awkward questions to the committee and the RSOC hierachy are possibly relevant to yourself and Worthers so suggest you have a read BUT dont hold your breath for a straight answer off the RSOC !
BTW You know my thoughts on Worthers and I still feel the same

well guys, my minds been made up for me this evening. I enventually got through to John Hughes, we discussed concours and the judging sheet and certain other cars. He made it very clear to me, after pointing out, he had seen the article in CF. He instantly remarked on my SHINEY dash, ???? news to me, i only had one of the rubbers gaitors over the gearstick, WRONG, they are both there, and for example, my shiny radiator would lose points over a matt radiator etc etc, Where does it mention a paint finish on the judging sheet ???. Again, please understand, i have no desire for a little cup, my desire is for my car to be judged as per the judging sheet, which doesn,t mention anything about paint finishes or genuine Ford GP1 options. So in order for me to have a stress free day on 19th i shall be arriving in my Scenic and no trailer. I shall stick to non RSOC shows, classic car shows in general and such like. I,m not prepared to be treated like Gerard was last year. Call me OTT, say that ive gone about it the wrong way even, however, i do honestly believe Worthers is the CLEANEST car out there today, a rash statement... maybe. But an honest one.

Imo ,if available from Ford at the time then not modified ,but then im not fully up on concourse.CheeRS Neil
