Not really applicable to this I know but worth a mention :

When I lived in Stockport in the early 90's, the local Ford dealer (Gordon Ford) employed a girl with a photographic memory. Every part I ever went in to buy from manifold nuts and studs all the way through to door rubbers, bodywork etc. - she knew the part number for it without looking. She claimed to have the whole parts catalogue for every Ford car memorised. I must admit, she never got one wrong !

Just a shame she was a minger.

I found my local dealer to be really helpful, especially when Paul Crackermac worked there !!

He went through the Microfiche and checked nearly every mk2 part to see if it was still available, we came up with some interesting parts !!

Mind you, a lot have gone obsolete recently - Fords probably sold the lot to GMS Capri spares !!
      Cheers Rob.
