Paul I know that you are a VW expert but how many more times ?
The engine in your car is "based" on a crossflow but that twin cam head is not standard on a Mexico

Aa a "rule of thumb" I was always told you lost about 25% through the drive gear but 240 bhp from a pinto is a little optomistic though.
Come on someone must have the correct formula.Hope is right though Dave as mine is a similar spec to yours

I dont know the answer ! - lol
Flywheel BHP is only ever a guesstimate against "at wheel BHP" when done on rolling road as it is based on the speed of deceleration of the rollers
A certain percentage is "allowed" for gearbox and diff but a true flywheel figure is only achieved on a Dyno
I "guess" maybe 205-210 flywheel (maybe)
I now want to go on rolling road shoot outs for a "guidance only" comparison
All I can say is that at 11:30 this morning rollers showed 184
Tomorrow it could show 189 or only 170 and so on
Of course on a private dual carriageway oois also a great proving ground as well - lol lol lol
