Run mine on a 38dgas for years, pulled very well but didn't like the lumpy cam I had so wouldn't tick over very well.

Whats the hold up with Bogg Brothers? too many people going bike carb route now is it. Have you tried getting some off ebay and sending them to bogg brothers, heres some I found on the bay

I like the way an RS2000 drives on a standard twin choke and a lightly modified head with a high torque cam.

My yellow car with IDF's on it is only just quicker than Glyns P plater - and his has a std carb !!!

graham, a standard carb will fuel to 135 bhp ish?? a 38 dgas will go to 150+. its all down to a) how much you want to spend b) how much bhp you want out of it

bare in mind the head has to come off to fit a cam anyway, you may as well get some porting/big valves whilst its off.

this is my plan , get the 45's , a cam , some head work ,a janny and some new brakes , this will all be part of my winter project with lots of help and advice from you lot as if i do it now i'll have to sell the wife , but in the meantime i may go for a good secondhand 38dgas (who's got one) to free it up a little for the remainder of the summer, what do you think???????

will just banging a bigger carb on top make it any better??

prolly not worth the effort graham, it will still need seting up and cost ££ for only a wee gain, you need a whole package really i think, save your money
