The shell will have all of the extra streghening plates fitted along with many of additional ones that were not even fitted to an RS shell. Its also 4 linked so rear spring hangers gone, large diff tunnel fitted so brakets all gone, large gearbox tunnel so completely different stick hole, also an early shell so no hole in passenger dash panel.

Th trim in the car is all gone as its carbon fibre an aluminium throughout, there are bucket seats fitted and harnesses also.

Brakes, suspension and wheels are all uprated with Gp4 hubs added also.

Prop is a Slipper Atlas with again discs fitted.

Only big difference is going to be the colour as its had a repaint into my fave shade. But this is being changed and registered via the DVLA on the V5 to keep it right.

Basically I have built up an RS spec shell and then modified it even further for the better, then keeping a Mex alive by not just scrapping all evidence of it having even been alive at all.

LOng live the Escorts and all who drive in them!

reshelled 2 mexicos and a sport this way, never had a problem. as custom points out, as long as the shell is legite then go ahead.
lots of 'standard' rs's are not wot they seem!

I haven't looked at the AVO site for a long time, but I came across this thread today which may be of interest and provide food for thought (or throw petrol onto the fire?)
