    I used to spend a fortune on Esoteric hifi stuff, then realised I wasnt listening to it the way it should be, £600 Linn LP12, £500 arm cant remember the name now £125 for a cartridge to never mind the amps and Linn speakers

    get something has all the inputs and sounds good to you, unless you are an audiophile,

    I have my Yamaha surround and Rel Strato 3 sub and kef speakers now does the job and didnt cost what my old turntable cost alone

          i always found Radioshack speakers with Tandy graphic equaliser gave a good sound

              some crazy prices there !
              i know its on a slightly different scale but you can get a pair of TOP quality speakers for your computer download all your music for FREE & hey presto you have more money to spend on your classic ford

              i have a set of HARMAN/KARDON speakers & they are TOP quality
              download all my songs from ARES for FREE

              Also if you get a good monitor ie large flatscreen your computer becomes a kind of TV DVD player & MUSIC system all in one

                    i got a bose docking station for the ipod and its the dogs bollocks, sound is amazing for such alittle unit!

                      Arcam Alpha 9 Pre/Power amps, Arcam Alpha 9 SE CD player, Naim nSat stand speakers Focal JMLab Sub Woofer and stupidly expensive speaker cables and interconnects. Works great for my crappy music.
