i showed off with 3 others in my mk2 1300 pop, long story short, hit a flyover, car on its roof.

road closed, 5 cop cars, 2 bikes 1 ambulance and 1 fire engine later the copper says " 10,000 people drive under this flyover every day, you're the first prick to hit it "

all within 2 weeks of being a full licence holder at 17!!

scratches are still on the flyover, i drive past it everyday on my way home

Put the diff tag between the diff and the casing, didn,t realise till i did all the bolts up why there was a gap, on the phone to Burtons, new gasket etc etc, when i was about 20 in my blue on blue Mk1 RS2000 showing off in front of others, pulled out from behind a lorry, continued chatting to the bird, didn,t see the oncoming car...... front panel, slam panel, wings, lights, kenlowe fan and rad, oh and new number plate, not very clever,

My most embarassing moment has to be spending years and £0000's on a Mk2, then having it on the road for 8 days before rolling it in front of a Classic Ford photographer
                    Cheers Rob.

Nearly lost an eye when taking steering wheel off my pop+ many years ago ,took the nut off completly and was pulling at the wheel with a screwdriver in my hand ,when it suddenly released and the screwdiver hit me 1/2 inch below my eye.

More recently changing over an ash tray holder ,fitted to switch panel fitted panel ,centre consul etc then went to put ashtray in holder to find the holder was upside down.

On the driving front ,had a MK4 cortina that i replaced wings , door and had resprayed drove it for 4 weeks till one saturday on my way to play football decided i would try a bit of drifting ,over cooked it and ended up spinning accross the road into 12 inch square oak gate posts ,one written off Tina. Got towed in to ford dealer and tow truck dropped me off at football to play the second half which pleased the misses no end when i finally got home car less ,our only form of transport at the time and we lived 20 mile from both our workplaces.

                          Happy days not

i changed the clock pod on my old rs2 to one with the correct colour needle.so i set off down barnet high road, when smoke started billowing out of the dash, and smoking out the street,i pulled up outside my mates garage and popped the bonnet and pulled off the battery leads.i had of course put the wires back on the wrong way so while repairing the melted wires i noticed how rusty the bottom part of the screen was on the inside,so sold the car on quickly
what i need is a high horse like the others have !
